Jennie Gilling has been making paper since 1983 and is a professional gardener. She uses handmade paper to provide the basis for collages, in which she often places fragments of poetry so that the words take the viewer outside the frame. Nicoletta Chirigu is Sardinian and lives in Sant’Anna Arresi, in the southwest of the Italian island. She has been studying medicinal plants in the local Sulcis area for the last five years and is currently writing a thesis on the subject at the University of Cagliari.
